Meditation – What? How? Why? Who?

An online meeting to speak about this ancient, authentic mantra-based system of meditation which has been practised in India and elsewhere for centuries, what it is, how it can help, why it is so relevant today, and who it is suitable for.

Most people assume that their mind is too busy to enable them to meditate. It’s not what you think. Find out more.

The meeting is online on 8th February at 2pm and is free of charge.

The illustrated talk will describe the simple practice of meditation and will outline its benefits.

How it works on our educational courses

A tutor presents material, and leads a discussion based on what arises. Being practical rather than academic, the emphasis is on personal knowledge. Students are encouraged neither to accept nor reject the ideas put forward, but to test them in practice for themselves, in the light of their own experience.

The present moment

“This course ‘woke me up’, particularly to the present moment. Learning to use the ‘full stop’ between daily events and pausing, rather than everything running in to one continuum”

Very practical

“I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. It has been very practical and has given me lots of tools and exercises to use in my daily life. Coming back each week and feeding back to the group has reinforced what I have learned and given me extra pointers”.
