Meditation Follow-up Meeting (22nd Feb)

Meditation – In-person Follow-up Meeting 22nd Feb

If you tuned in to the preliminary meeting on Zoom and would like to take it forward, this in-person meeting, at our beautiful retreat-house, Brinscall Hall in Chorley on 22nd February 2025, will give you the chance to ask further questions, to meet the meditation support team and to look around the house and gardens. The meeting is optional. If you have already decided to take up the offer of meditation and don’t need to ask further questions just let your philosophy tutor know and they will make the necessary arrangements.

Date: 22nd Feb 2025 at 2pm (Brinscall Hall, Chorley)

For those who take up meditation, the philosophy school offers free, one-to-one, lifetime support given by experienced meditators, to encourage simplicity in practice and to give practical advice as needed.
In this follow-up meeting you will find out more about the introduction ceremony, its format and significance. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
There is no charge for the meeting. Click Add to Cart & then Checkout to book a place – you will need the password ‘mantra’.
The introduction ceremony will be held a fortnight later on Saturday, 8th March, at Brinscall Hall.

How it works on our educational courses

A tutor presents material, and leads a discussion based on what arises. Being practical rather than academic, the emphasis is on personal knowledge. Students are encouraged neither to accept nor reject the ideas put forward, but to test them in practice for themselves, in the light of their own experience.

Wonderful classes

"Thank you so much to my tutor for the wonderful classes that you have taken. My whole life has transformed since joining the course. I feel a much better person and that is all credit to you and the way you conduct the class and encourage its members.”

The present moment

“This course ‘woke me up’, particularly to the present moment. Learning to use the ‘full stop’ between daily events and pausing, rather than everything running in to one continuum”

Very practical

“I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. It has been very practical and has given me lots of tools and exercises to use in my daily life. Coming back each week and feeding back to the group has reinforced what I have learned and given me extra pointers”.
