Upanishads Study Day – केनोपनिषत्
Sometimes on reading ancient Vedic texts the mind can be so charmed by the beauty of the poetry that there is a disinclination to look more deeply into the meaning. The Kena Upanishad is such a text. “The Ear of the ear, the Mind of the mind, the Speech of the speech, the Life of life and the Eye of the eye” are beautiful words but their meaning is only illuminated through study and reflection.
An on-line study day via Zoom will be held on the 12th July, commencing at 8.30 am and closing around 4 pm. The programme for the day (see below) will open with an introduction to the Upanishads followed by reading and discussing some verses from the Kena Upanishad. Electives in the afternoon will offer an opportunity to consider stories or look at the Sanskrit of a verse. Time for personal study and reflection will be provided during the day.

There will be no charge for the day but attendees are invited to make a donation to the School.
